Jagged Ambush bugs (Phymata sp.) on Blue Vervain.

A male, mounted on a female, guards against a potential competitor. While ambush bugs are not a traditional pollinator, visiting flowers for pollen and nectar, incidental pollination may occur as they maneuver through their hunting grounds.
