One of the hooks of macro photography is the new world that it reveals to you. Of course... it is not really a new world, it has been there the whole time, just hovering below our natural perception, in what you could call the mental periphery. Whether it's the portrait features of invertebrates, slime molds, or some other small organism, once you get a glimpse of that hidden ecosystem it is absolutely captivating.
