Trypophobia

Images like this are an absolute nightmare to people with Trypophobia. This phobia seems to provoke both physical and mental revulsion at the sight of natural, irregular patterns or clusters of small holes. Sudden symptoms are listed as nausea, fear, panic attacks, shudders, felt their skin crawl, etc... In my experience it seems surprisingly common, around 1 in 10 people I show these images to really, really, do not like them.

I do have to admit that I find it a bit fascinating, from both a science and photography perspective, that my photos can make some people physically ill.
